Fat Camp for Kids?

The words “Fat Camp” are followed by a mixture of thoughts and definitions. We are most certainly not a fat camp. Our camp philosophy involves everything that a traditional camp’s would—a fun summer filled with new friendships, outdoor activities and healthy meals.

A Fat Camp for kids might bring up thoughts of a fitness clinic, therapy sessions, or a hospital-type setting, and that is not Camp Pocono Trails. Instead, we are an experienced summer weight loss camp.

Our activities are designed to be fun yet effective for weight loss, our meals are delicious and filling while providing optimal nutrition, and our staff are supportive and engaged. Healthy habits and new skills are taught so that campers will return home with the necessary tools to continue with their success.

When a child leaves Camp Pocono Trails, he or she will have a higher level of self-esteem, new friends, a support system, healthy eating knowledge and new fitness skills.

We know that weight loss is hard for both girls and boys. It can be challenging, but our weight loss programs are designed to meet and fight this challenge in fun, innovative ways.
