
Directors of Camp Pocono Trails
Tricia Winfield, Associate Director
Tricia has worked with New Image Camps since its inception, providing an extensive camping background. Formerly overweight herself, Tricia was a camper as well as counselor at Camp Pocono Trails. Tricia works in the camp office managing daily operations and is an integral part of parent-camper relations - both during the summer and throughout the entire year.

Bob Weitz, Assistant Director
Bob, a Physical education and Health Instructor, has been with the Sparber family of camps since 1983. He began his camping career as the Boys Head Counselor and has served in a range of administrative positions since that time. Bob's compassionate and levelheaded manner has earned him tremendous respect from his peers, as well as his campers, so much so that many of his former campers have come back to work for him as counselors and as group leaders. Bob's camp philosophy is one of teamwork and support and his objective is to help make a difference in the lives of his campers. Bob holds a M.S. in Health and Physical Education. He and his wife Joanne have 2 children, Meri and Andrew who, along with their parents, consider Pocono Trails their second home.

Howard Gordon, Assistant Director
Born in the month of April and taken to camp that June, Howard Gordon has been part of summer camping for the last 50 years. The former owner/director of Camp Akiba for many years Howard’s desire to work with campers and staff to help them achieve their dreams has always been paramount to his dedication to the summer camp industry. A lifetime member of The American Camping Association and a former Vice President of Golden Slipper Club Camp Charities in Philadelphia, Howard believes working with children is truly the way to create a future of strong leaders. Howard has been involved with the Sparber family at Camp Pocono Trails as an Associate Director for the past 5 years and has three children, Lexi, Chelsea and Blake all who attended summer camps for many years.
